Location: These are hybrid roles working from home and our office in Cheltenham

We are seeking a talented and motivated UX Designer to join our dynamic team working primarily with clients in the National Security and Defence domains, which is dynamic, fast paced and extremely rewarding.
About The Role
As part of a collaborative design team, you will contribute to designing and improving user experiences for our public sector client. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, researchers, and developers to craft intuitive, efficient, and inclusive solutions that address real-world needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX researchers, developers, and product managers, to define and solve complex design challenges.
Conduct user research activities such as usability testing, interviews, and workshops to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points.
Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and detailed design specifications to communicate design concepts effectively.
Contribute to the development of design systems and ensure consistency across projects.
Advocate for accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring designs comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards and other relevant guidelines.
Analyse user feedback and usage data to inform design decisions and improve existing solutions.
Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and facilitate constructive feedback sessions.
Stay updated on UX trends, tools, and methodologies to bring innovative ideas to the team.
About You
We are looking for an individual who brings knowledge, skills and experience across different sectors and industries, in some or all of the following capabilities:
Experience in UX design, preferably with experience in public sector or service design projects.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of user-centred design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
Experience with user research methodologies and translating findings into actionable designs.
Ability to create low to high-fidelity prototypes and iterate based on user feedback.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly and able to influence stakeholder groups.
Ideally you will also have some experience of some of the following:
Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools like Jira or Trello.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end development principles.
Certification or training in accessibility standards (e.g., CPACC, WAS).

Clearance
SC clearance is preferable and DV clearance would be ideal.
