We are seeking a talented and motivated Communications Consultant to join our dynamic team working primarily with clients in the National Security and Defence domains, which is dynamic, fast paced and extremely rewarding. 

About The Role

As part of our Strategic & Creative Communications team, you will contribute to providing comprehensive communications and engagement support to our clients from design, to development, to delivery. You will be working on a combination of client and Clarion corporate work, focused on delivering communications which have a measurable behavioural audience impact aligned to change and transformation priorities. We want our communications to be impactful, creative and based on a real insight into our audiences’ behaviour, opinions and motivations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with client stakeholders to develop and implement effective communications plans, with the support of senior Communications colleagues.

  • Collaborating with Visual and Graphic Designers and our Communications and Content Executive to create content. This includes: branding / identity, publications, website and SharePoint content, briefs, presentations, animations, and other collateral that communicates clients’ activities, products and/or services.  

  • Maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.

  • Supporting the Strategic & Creative Comms team to deliver Clarion’s internal and external communications plans.

  • Supporting the planning and coordinating events as required.  

  • Evaluating communications outcomes and analysing data for continuous improvement.

About You

We are looking for an individual who brings knowledge, skills and experience ideally in change and transformation, in some or all of the following capabilities:

  • has experience working in a communications role, ideally within the context of business change and transformation.

  • has experience in stakeholder engagement, and comfortable communicating and engaging with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.

  • is able to develop C-SMART (Challenging, Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound) communication objectives, and understands communications insight and evaluation methodology.

  • can develop and deliver communications plans, with support from senior colleagues.

  • writes clear, engaging copy on complex subjects, often to tight deadlines.

  • knows how to brief design teams, and work collaboratively with change and communications colleagues to deliver results.

  • can think creatively, looking for new and innovative ways to engage audiences.

Clearance  

SC clearance is preferable and DV clearance would be ideal.
