Collaborative Leadership Event

Visual Identity and Event Collateral

A Client Collaborative Leadership Event aimed at the senior leadership within a business directorate was an in-person event held at Cheltenham Racecourse in September 2022.   The aim of the event was to ensure that the leadership community had the tools and knowledge to be able to lead their teams effectively and ensure that they were fully engaged with the overall client vision and intent.  As part of supporting this event, Clarion was tasked with creating a brand identity and a series of additional collateral to accompany this.

The brief was to create a symbolic logo that represented collaboration whilst also using existing Client brand colours. We presented a series of options as a starting point, and the final logo was developed around the idea of a circle to represent a collective and the concept that everyone is involved and connected. The extended brand identity was then designed with font choices, colours and imagery all to meet and sit within the wider Client’s organisational guidelines whilst still giving the event a recognisable identity. This was then applied across the series of event collateral, including event agenda, map, pull up banners, digital programme and table cards.

In addition to the format of the headings, we created an identity that used the colours within the Client’s colour palette and the pattern created within the logo. The accompanying backgrounds designed for the PowerPoint templates and Sway documents used the shape of the logo to provide a border to the page and break up the white space.

The collaborative leadership event was a great success. Clarion helped us to create an unforgettable experience for our audience from start to finish. We were really impressed with how Clarion made the event look and feel like it belonged to our organisation, while still having its own stand-alone identity that was impactful and memorable for our audience. They gave us plenty of design options to consider along the way and took onboard our feedback to develop a logo and overall look that complemented the themes and tone of the event. With this, it made it much easier to drive home the key messages of the day. What we loved most was the attention to detail across such a wide variety of event material and how everything tied together. Having that cohesive identity really helped us to give our audience the overall impression of professionalism and credibility and it felt like they were really engaged in what we had to say because of this. It was also important to us to consider sustainability and Clarion ensured that as much of the event collateral as possible, was digital. The Clarion team were diligent at ensuring they understood our needs and it clearly showed that they were highly invested in the success of the project.
