The Opportunity:

We are seeking several System Engineers to join our dynamic team and work alongside our other Systems Engineers, Change Professionals, Project and Delivery Managers and Business Analysts. You will work primarily in the National Security and Defence domain, which is dynamic, fast paced and extremely rewarding.

You will be part of a Clarion team that provides full lifecycle support to the design, development and delivery of change and transformation activities to our clients. The Clarion team’s focus is on developing highly effective client teams of all sizes and taking them through a process of vision and strategy development, operating model design and implementation, brand and identity development.

About you:

Ideally you will have experience of a variety of systems engineering and systems thinking approaches, preferably within a public sector environment. You will:

  • Be comfortable with client engagements, helping strategic decision makers understand complex situations and be able to develop effective change strategies, approaches and plans to achieve their desired business objectives.
  • Have experience of articulating organisational designs, business process/functional models, or enterprise architectures and be able to select from a mix of methods to best articulate problems or solution options.
  • Ideally you will be able to think holistically, engaging all levels of a client’s organisation to capture, synthesise and present a broad range of perspectives in a manner that facilitates effective decision making.
  • We are looking for individuals who are comfortable working as part of or leading a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Pervious consultancy experience is desirable and advantageous, but not mandatory.

Responsibilites:

Depending on the projects you are involved in you will be:

  • Managing senior stakeholder relationships
  • Consulting with stakeholders to elicit their needs, objectives, and define requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Defining new business structures, processes, programmes, as well as the adoption of new technology
  • Developing SE artifacts including functional models, operational models, technical roadmaps, producing system designs to the appropriate level.
  • Identifying the problems that customers require a solution.
  • Providing step-by-step solutions to pending problems
  • Evaluating each stage of an operation in a system for efficiency and effectiveness, recommending improvements
  • Communicating the underlying principles of systems thinking and engineering
  • Encouraging the adoption of Industry-standard systems thinking and engineering processes, tools, and techniques throughout the entire lifecycle
  • Providing authoritative advice, systems thinking and engineering leadership with a multi-disciplinary team and for client stakeholders

Security Clearance

We have a number of roles at different levels and would welcome all applicants, we would prefer a minimum of SC clearance and ideally DV clearance. However, all successful applicants must be eligible & willing to obtain an SC clearance and be prepared to progress this to DV level. Location

These are hybrid roles; working from home and either London, Manchester, or Cheltenham, with some travel, particularly to our head office in Cheltenham.
